Before your first lesson, you will take a GRE diagnostic test which provides you with your current score level and a detailed report on your areas of strength and weakness on the test. Your teacher will use these results to create the best preparation program for you.

You will be matched with one of our tutors based on your needs and availability, and your tutoring sessions will take place at times to suit you. You can join lessons from home or work, or anywhere with an internet connection. GRE Online Tutoring includes books and materials plus 3 months of access to online study resources, including 6 full-length GRE practice tests.

When you enroll, you will be assigned a tutor based on your needs and availability. Before your first lesson you will take a GRE diagnostic test online - the results of this test will allow your tutor to focus your teaching sessions on the areas where you need the most help and can make the greatest improvement.

You will receive access to GRE Anywhere Course lessons and your tutoring will be covered by Kaplan's Higher Score Guarantee.

How Online Tutoring Works

Online tutoring is the same as "live" in-person tutoring, except that the service comes to you wherever you are. You can meet your tutor from home, from work, or anywhere with an internet connection.

We use a combination of voice/video calls via Skype™, webcams to provide visual interaction with your tutor, and screensharing technology to replicate a physical tutoring environment. It's just like being in the same room as the instructor.

Skype is free to install and can be accessed anywhere. If you do not already have a Skype account then you will be required to create one. If you are unsure and want to know more details, please Contact Us.

Scheduling Online Tutoring Hours

Private tutoring hours are scheduled based on the availability of you and your tutor. Below are estimates of advised time periods in which to complete your private tutoring hours. You should consider time outside of your lessons to review, study, and complete any homework or assignments. Time periods may vary slightly based on availability and the needs of the student.

35 hours: ~ 3 months
25 hours: 2-3 months
15 hours: 4-6 weeks
